After countless hours of brainstorming, We landed on the perfect British expression: "Thank you, pet." It's a tender way to show gratitude for kindness and good care. And who, we thought, treats you with more love and attention than your dog?
Thankupet was born in 2024 out of our enthusiasm and hope to help London’s dogs navigate the unique challenges of living in such a vibrant, exciting, and at times, stressful city. London is rich in history, and we’ve come to realize that its relationship with dogs is just as storied. We’re here to offer the attention and care they truly deserve, thanking back to them the same loyalty and joy they bring to us every day.
That's why we offer you the opportunity to find someone who will go the extra mile to solve any problems you may have with your pet.
Our services primarily focus on improving behavioural issues. However, due to growing demand, we’re considering expanding to offer walking services as well.
In all of our services, we strive to give each dog the utmost attention and not turn a blind eye to any bad habits they may have or develop.
We believe that quality is more important than quantity and duration, both in walks and training sessions, always giving them freedom but setting limits to ensure good training, enhance their self-control and safety.
As for training techniques, we want to make it clear that we are far removed from the use of prong collars, choke chains/leads, and electric shock collars.
We all have a DBS check and no criminal record in the United Kingdom or in our country of origin, and we will be proud to show it if required.
We would also like to inform you that our environment is smoke-free. That means your pet is not going to be a passive smoker.
We are insured and hold the necessary licences to carry out this work with guarantees and within a legal framework.

Meet Una, the heart of Thankupet. More than just a virtual mascot, she is the symbol of our dream. Her name, inspired by Irish mythology, and her look, a tribute to a very special Goldendoodle we met in our previous job, both tell our story.
We were lucky enough to care for this wonderful dog, and we still love him from afar. He was a true role model, not just for other dogs, but for humans too. He is the living proof behind our belief: that every dog has the capacity for incredible behaviour. He is one of the reasons "why" behind what we do.
Although it was a Goldendoodle that initially inspired us, our journey has brought us closer to many incredible breeds. As we continue to fall in love every day, our future Una may change to reflect the diverse world of dogs we are dedicated to serving and become a dream come true.

Hola! I’m Paula, Mario’s partner, and I’m originally from Spain.
My professional background is in fashion and Early Years Education, so if you'd told me years ago that my life would revolve around dogs, I wouldn't have believed you!
It all started when Mario began working as a dog walker. I found myself falling in love with the dogs and becoming more and more fascinated by them. One day in 2024, while walking on the Thames Path, we started dreaming up something new. We saw a need for a more personal approach to dog care and training, and the idea for Thankupet sparked right there.
The name has a special story, too. On that same walk, I recalled a memory from 15 years ago when someone said, 'Thank you, pet!' to me. Being from Spain, I was so shocked to be called 'pet'! But the moment stuck with me and is now a memory I cherish.
In our project, I bring my creative and organizational skills to the table and assist Mario in caring for the dogs.
Mario
Hi, I'm Mario. I moved to London from Madrid to start a career in graphic design, but the city had other plans for me. An opportunity to work with dogs came up, and for someone who has always greeted the dog in the room before the person, it was an easy "yes." That decision marked the beginning of a new and incredibly rewarding chapter.
With over 4 years of experience as a dog walker / 1 year as a dog behaviourist, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments since 2020. About a year ago, with my partner and friends’ help I created Thankupet to shift my focus towards helping families address their dogs' behavioural challenges. I’m constantly advancing my knowledge and staying up to date with all the ethological ideas around the world to ensure I provide the most effective solutions suitable to each dog and their unique issues.
My goal is simple: to give you the confidence and hands-on support your dog and you need. We'll work together to find the perfect approach for your dog, with clear communication and thoughtful follow-ups every step of the way.
What drives me in this field is the desire to make a meaningful impact in dogs’ lives. I believe in truly caring for each dog, collaborating closely with owners and maintaining complete transparency. Every technique and tool I use is discussed with you, ensuring a healthy, trusting partnership and a smooth working environment for everyone involved.
One of my first major training challenges involved a reactive Border Collie. The experience put me in difficult situations, and there were times I felt frustrated and uncertain if my efforts were worth it. But as I studied new techniques, experimented with different approaches, and put in the hard work, seeing her improvement was one of the most rewarding moments of my career.
